Elizabeth Tortolini is currently completing her M.A in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida. She was born and raised in Boca Raton, FL, but moved to Gainesville in 2018 to attend UF. Elizabeth graduated from UF in Spring 2022 with a BHS in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Disabilities in Society. While she was an undergraduate student, she completed a senior honors thesis with Dr. Sterling Sheffield, Au.D., Ph.D., CCC-A on the topic of Cochlear Implants. After graduation, she aspires to work in acute care specializing in swallowing disorders. She is excited to continue her dysphagia education working with the ARC Lab.
